Dubai – Mubasher: On route from Dubai to Munich, an Emirates Airlines plane made an emergency landing in Kuwait owing to the serious health condition of a seven-year old passenger.

“Flight EK049 from Dubai to Munich was diverted on Tuesday to Kuwait International Airport due to a medical emergency,” said the company’s spokesperson, according to Bild newspaper.

“The passenger received immediate medical attention upon landing, but unfortunately was pronounced dead by an emergency doctor on the ground,” he added, as reported by the German newspaper.

Later on, the plane continued its flight to Munich, the spokesperson concluded, offering condolences on behalf of the airline to the deceased’s family.
